Terms & Refunds
Last updated August 12, 2026
These terms cover your use of BenchBot, operated by TechKnow Logical in Toronto, Ontario. Using the service means you accept them.
What you are buying
A season pass. BenchBot watches your team's published league schedule and keeps one TeamSnap team calendar in step with it — adding new games, updating games that move, and removing games that are cancelled — until the end of the current season.
| Price | $35 CAD before the league posts its first games of the season, $40 CAD after. Charged once. The price you paid is shown on your receipt. |
|---|---|
| Term | Through the end of the current season (April 30). The exact date is shown on your receipt. |
| Renewal | None. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing recurs and no card is stored on file for a future charge. |
| Covers | One league team synced to one TeamSnap team. |
Email notifications about schedule changes are free and always have been. The pass pays for the TeamSnap calendar sync.
Refunds
We offer a refund in either of these cases:
- Within 30 days of purchase, for any reason at all. You do not need to explain.
- At any time, if it never worked — if BenchBot did not successfully sync your schedule to your TeamSnap calendar, you get your money back regardless of how long ago you paid.
To request one, email support@benchbot.ca from the address you signed up with, or simply reply to any BenchBot email. Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within five business days.
What BenchBot depends on
Being honest about this matters more than sounding confident:
- The league's website. BenchBot reads the schedule your league publishes. If the league takes its site down, restructures it, or publishes something wrong, BenchBot's copy will be affected too. We monitor for this daily and fix it as quickly as we can.
- TeamSnap. Calendar sync uses TeamSnap's API under the permission you grant. If you revoke that permission or TeamSnap changes its service, sync stops.
- Accuracy. BenchBot reflects what the league publishes. It is a convenience, not the official record — always treat your league and coach as the final word on when and where a game is being played.
If BenchBot stops being able to sync your league for reasons outside our control and we cannot restore it, tell us and we will refund the unused portion of your season.
Your responsibilities
- Connect a TeamSnap team you are actually allowed to manage. BenchBot checks this, but the judgement is yours.
- Keep your access to that TeamSnap account. We cannot recover it for you.
- Use the service for its purpose — following a team's schedule — and not to overload the league's website or ours.
Cancelling
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Using it stops the notifications and removes your data, including BenchBot's permission to write to your calendar — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is deleted. Games already added to your calendar remain there; they are yours to keep or delete in TeamSnap.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund. If you want your money back as well, ask us — see above.
Liability
BenchBot is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, TechKnow Logical's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change and active subscribers will be emailed about anything that affects an existing pass. The terms in force when you bought your pass govern that pass.
